Our founder, Wassan, embarked on this journey with a lifelong love for art and design, honed through her experiences as an interior and graphic designer, and a hands-on fascination with clay and pottery. It was this keen eye for detail and an innate ability to see what a space truly needed that sparked the idea for WAZarts.

 

Inspired by her roots in Iraq, particularly the ancient, historically rich land of Babylon, Wassan developed a profound appreciation for Arabic calligraphy and culture. This heritage became the soul of her creations. The name WAZarts itself embodies this philosophy: it signifies how our cherished heritage designs, which WAS once, are lovingly redesigned in a modern way, becoming WAZ arts for today's world. In September 2019, WAZarts blossomed into a luxurious e-commerce platform, dedicated to presenting this unique blend of Arabic heritage through a contemporary lens.
